Course Description

Systematic Theology I has two topical parts, as follows:

• The Doctrine of the Word of God
  
• The Doctrine of God
  

Course Objectives

Students taking this course will learn to:

• Explain the nature and necessity of systematic theology and how it applies to our life today
• Articulate personal positions on these doctrines within the biblical framework while employing proper theological method
• Determine which writings belong in the Bible and which do not
• Understand that the Bible is necessary for knowledge of the Gospel, maintaining spiritual life, and the knowledge of God’s will
• Determine the existence of God and how to prove it
• Explain and articulate that God is one God and is in three persons
  

Academic Requirements

• For each textbook chapter:
• Read the chapter summary first
• Read the chapter in the textbook second
• Complete the quizzes (70%)
• Complete the exam(s) (30%)

• 100.00 - 98.00 = A+
• 97.99   - 95.00 = A
• 94.99   - 93.00 = A-
• 92.99   - 90.00 = B+
• 89.99   - 86.00 = B
• 85.99   - 84.00 = B-
• 83.99   - 81.00 = C+
• 80.99   - 77.00 = C
• 76.99   - 75.00 = C-
• 74.99   - 73.00 = D+
• 72.99   - 71.00 = D
• 70.99   - 70.00 = D-
• 69.99   - 00.00 = F
